Home Visitation

Men and women suffering from physical and/or mental illness are accommodated in smaller personal care homes or are cared for by relatives in their own homes.

Many live alone in their own houses or apartments or are living with relatives. Wherever the sick and elderly reside, Sisters of Mercy continue their tradition of visitation to them at home or in an institution. Many of these sisters are elderly themselves, yet they share their time, their compassion and their prayer with these vulnerable men and women. Sisters regularly visit the sick and elderly in their own homes or in other facilities in the cities, towns and communities where they live.
