Project for Migrants in Peru
We are pleased to announce a project in Peru which has been made possible through our monetary contribution and collaboration with the Roncalli Foundation in Montreal.
A committee of the Diocese of Chiclayo (Commission on Human Mobility and Human Trafficking) led by Augusto Martinez Ibanez and supported by our sisters, submitted and received approval for a project which supports Venezuelan and other migrants in the Lambayeque Region with day-to-day survival and legal protection. It is noteworthy that Pope Leo initiated this outreach to migrants in 2019 when he was Bishop of the Diocese of Chiclayo.
Roncalli Foundation supports projects throughout the world, including our own water project in Africa through VITA, Ireland. Roncalli is very excited about this new partnership.

We thank Augusto and Commission Members, Sisters Mildred, Verna, Patricia March and the staff of Roncalli for their work in seeing this project application to successful approval. Let us pray God’s blessing on the work of care for migrants in the Lambayeque region of Peru. We especially thank the Bishop of Chiclayo, Most Reverend Edinson Edgardo Farfan Cordova. O.S.A, for his support and encouragement of the project and the ministry.
This new partnership will enable us to find a way forward enabling us to continue our ministry outreach in Peru where we have ministered over 60 years.
Nos complace anunciar un proyecto en Perú que ha sido posible gracias a nuestra contribución económica y colaboración con la Fundación Roncalli en Montreal.
Un comité de la Diócesis de Chiclayo (Comisión de Movilidad Humana y Trata de Personas), liderado por Augusto Martínez Ibáñez y apoyado por nuestras hermanas, presentó y recibió la aprobación de un proyecto que apoya a los migrantes venezolanos y de otros países en la región de Lambayeque con la supervivencia diaria y la protección legal. Cabe destacar que el Papa León inició esta labor de acercamiento a los migrantes en 2019, cuando era obispo de la Diócesis de Chiclayo.
La Fundación Roncalli apoya proyectos en todo el mundo, incluido nuestro propio proyecto de agua en África a través de VITA, Irlanda. Roncalli está muy ilusionado con esta nueva colaboración.
