Who We Are

Mercy Wellsprings is committed to keeping alive the mercy culture and values of the Sisters of Mercy and to carrying forward the founding spirit of Catherine McAuley. Rooted in a tradition of compassion, care, justice, and mercy, we accompany and support those most in need, fostering hope, dignity, and belonging in our communities.

Our mission is guided by principles that shape all we do. We embrace Compassion by respecting the dignity of every person and extending tenderness and care to the whole of creation. We practice Respect by recognizing each individual as uniquely made in God’s image and by celebrating the beauty and integrity of all creation. We pursue Justice by upholding and supporting the rights of all people and of Earth herself. Through Collaboration, we engage others as partners, welcoming diversity, inclusion, and shared responsibility. Through Deep Listening, we seek to hear and respond to the voices of people, Earth’s beings, and Earth herself, allowing wisdom, relationship, and care to guide our actions.
