Week 3 Season of Creation – Embracing Water

• We praise the sacred waters of the world, to the oceans, the mother of life, the plant life that freshens our air with oxygen, the brew that is stirred by sunlight and the moon’s gravity into the great currents and tides that move across the earth, circulating the means of life, bringing warmth to the frozen Arctic and cool, fresh winds to the tropics.
  
• We give thanks for the blessed clouds and the rain that brings the gift of life to the land, that eases the thirst of roots, that grows the trees and sustains life even in the dry desert.
  
• We give thanks for the springs that bring life-giving water up from the ground, for the small streams and creeks, for the mighty rivers.
  
• We give thanks for the beauty of water, the sparkle of the sunlight on a blue lake, the shimmer of moonlight on the ocean’s waves. We take delight in the dancing stream and the roar of the river in the flood. We ask for help in our efforts to ensure that the waters of the world run clean and free, that all the earth will have the water needed to sustain abundance of life. Blessed be the water.

Semana 3 de la Temporada de la Creación – Abrazar el agua

• Alabamos las aguas sagradas del mundo: a los océanos, madre de la vida; a la vegetación que refresca nuestro aire con oxígeno; a ese caldo de cultivo que, agitado por la luz del sol y la gravedad de la luna, se convierte en las grandes corrientes y mareas que se desplazan por la Tierra, haciendo circular los elementos vitales, llevando calor al helado Ártico y vientos frescos y refrescantes a los trópicos.

• Damos gracias por las nubes benditas y por la lluvia que trae el don de la vida a la tierra, que sacia la sed de las raíces, que hace crecer los árboles y sustenta la vida incluso en el árido desierto.

• Damos gracias por los manantiales que hacen brotar del suelo el agua que da vida, por los pequeños arroyos y riachuelos, por los caudalosos ríos.

• Damos gracias por la belleza del agua, el destello de la luz del sol sobre un lago azul, el resplandor de la luz de la luna sobre las olas del océano. Nos deleitamos con el arroyo danzante y el rugido del río en crecida. Pedimos ayuda en nuestros esfuerzos por garantizar que las aguas del mundo fluyan limpias y libres, para que toda la Tierra disponga del agua necesaria para mantener la abundancia de la vida. Bendita sea el agua.
